Plants-in-the-Greenhouse

In The Greenhouse………

Our traditional wooden greenhouse is often missed as it is set off to the right of the entrance at the bottom of the car park. At the moment, it has a selection of plants to add a touch of tropical flair to your house or conservatory.  Hibiscus longiflora (meaning long-flowering) are stunning and  come in red, pink and yellow.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

A Bouganvillea will climb up your walls making you feel that you are on holiday and Aechema ‘Brasil’ is a bromeliad with striking variegated leaves and long-lasting pink flowers.

Oleander is another plant mediterranean plant and, while it is not hardy, it is fabulous in a greenhouse or conservatory.  In the summer months, it can be put outdoors on the patio and brought back in again in the winter. If they get too big, then just cut them hard back in winter and they will shoot again in the spring.

There are also succulents and Cacti available as well as the hardiest of all banana plants (Musa basjoo ’Sakhalin’) that will grow up to 2m (6ft) tall.

It is not too late to plant tomatoes, we have some larger plants that are £3.99 each, some of which are already starting to produce fruits.

Bistro sets of tables and chairs are available to buy or just to rest your feet while you look around.
